Bring or build your own antennas and see what they are tuned to.
We all have been wondering whether the little stubby antennas on our Lora (and other) devices are random pieces of junk or finely tuned RF devices maximising their range.
In this workshop we will.
- give a short introduction into the concepts of common types of antennas used on this type of devices for laypeople without HAM-license or degree in physics
- put a NanoVNA to good use on the antennas participants are bringing
- maybe build our own antennas.
If you have anything that is pretending to be an antenna or would like to be an antenna, bring it!
Chris has been tinkering in all things IT, self hosting, building infrastructure, hydroponics and queer politics for more than 30 years.
He did not find the time (or focus?) to make a HAM license, yet, but has been planning to do so next year™️ at each congress for a decade or so.
